Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
My dream has always been to play football beyond the high school level, and to be a part of a program that I can personally connect to. As a student, my goals are: to achieve high honor roll each semester, participate in as many extra curricular activities as possible, and to graduate knowing I gave my best effort in the classroom. Besides in the classroom, my goals on the football field are simple, as a quarterback I'm taught to be the leader of the team and bring out the best in everyone of my teammates, and I plan on doing that at whichever college I attend or play for. As a leader, I'm willing and obligated to show up to practice, film sessions, weightlifting, or whatever it may be early, and be the last one to leave. This allows me to achieve my full potential and obtain as much information and work as possible. But being a leader isn't good enough, I am a winner and someone a coach can look to in difficult situations and be able to trust that mentally and physically I'm able to pull through for the team. As a teammate and leader, my goal is to be a role model to other teammates and to be an example of hard work and effort that everyone should look to. Being the person I am, I give one hundred percent on and off the field, truly defining the meaning of a student athlete. Also, my actions on and off the field are those of a trustworthy and honest man, meaning coaches, administrators, or whoever else would not have to worry about my actions away from the team or towards the team.
Thank you, Austin Konieczka
