Personal Statement
Dear Coach:
I am Alexander Linton – a senior at Delaware County Christian School located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
I enjoy playing all sports and conditioning, but I really love playing football. I believe that I have been gifted in athletics and through these gifts; I hope to play football at the college level. My desire is to pursue excellence both on and off the field. I desire to bring honor to my God, parents, school, team, coaches and teammates. I try to balance athletics, sports training and academics while also being an active leader and positive role model in my school and church. I strive to be the most aggressive and passionate player on the field.
I currently am focusing my skill development in the linebacker and full back positions. Some of my highlights include:
Senior Accomplishments:
- All BAL Conference - Defensive Player of the Year
- Recipient of Scholar-Athlete Award by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame, Philadelphia Area Chapter
- All BAL Conference – First Team – Linebacker (3 Years)
- All DELCO - Honorable Mention - Linebacker
- Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame – Scholar Athlete Award
- Led team in tackles (3 Years)
- Led team with 141.5 tackles (56 solos, 71 assists, 11 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks)
- 3 recovered fumbles, 3 hurries
- All BAL Conference - Second Team - Running Back
- All County Player to watch in Delaware County - PA
- 5 Time Player of the Week for the Independent Schools - Linebacker
- 3 Year team captain
- Started on both offense and defense sides – 4 years
- Average run per carry was 6.6 yards 88 carries for 584 yards
- 10 touchdowns
Junior, Sophomore & Freshman Accomplishments:
- All-BAL Conference - First Team Academics

- All County Independent League Linebacker of the Week – Two Times
- Selected to participate in Strongman Competition in Berwyk, PA
- Junior Year - Led team with 92 tackles (46 solos, 40 assisted, 6 tackles for loss)
- 6 tackles for loss (4 tackles, 2 sacks), 2 caused fumbles, 2 recovered fumbles, 2 hurries
- Junior Year - Average run per carry was 6.0 yards 78 carries for 471 yards
- 7 touchdowns
Leadership Accomplishments:
- Elected by team members as the Varsity Football Captain (sophomore, junior and senior year)
- ACSI Christian Leadership Award - voted by teachers
- Elected by classmates Class President
- Elected by team members JV Basketball Captain
- Active in church and community services

In summary, I am all about being a team player; it takes the entire team to win the game not just one or two players.
