To My Future Coaches,
Ever since I can remember I played football. When I was 8 or 9 years old my coach said that what I knew and how I played football could not be taught. My parents always told me that I was a "natural athlete" however, I quickly realized that would not be enough. I had to continue to learn, practice and be at least 1% better today than I was the day before in order to continue my football career at the collegiate level. I feel I am doing that.
I welcome constructive criticism, tough coaches and not taking the easiest path, because they help me want to be better and work harder. That hard work helps me appreciate my accomplishments because I know I earned them
My work ethic on the field carries over into my academics, where I strive to do my best. I am a leader on my team and I aspire to be in a leadership role in my career. What makes me a good candidate for your team can be explained in my motto, "I'm not done yet". I will continue to push myself to be the best I can be both on and off the field.
Sincerely,
Gianni Marino
