All my life people have been telling me I should play football. I have the size for it and things like that. The main thing that stopped me was financially. As I was in 7th and 8th grade I made plans to wanna play professional basketball. I was gonna apply for Imhotep and in the fall I was gonna give football a try. Then when I was about to Covid. This messed up a lot of things. I gained a lot of weight which I have lost, and I hadn’t touched a basketball in 3 years. When we finally were in person for my sophomore year. I went to a school that didn’t do football so I tried to do soccer and basketball when I came around while still being rusty. One day as I was coming home from soccer practice I was going to the store to get something to drink, when two guys Dylan Heath and Jarred Stenton recruited me to play for olney high under 215 playmaker coach Ronnie Flower. There I learned the techniques and lost a lot of weight while making new friends. Now everything wasn’t that easy though. My first practice It was a team conditioning practice so for my first ever football practice I had to run 30 200s. Even though it was hell as I was almost 400 pounds I kept working and grinding. Even though I didn’t get to play a single snap due to multiple reasons that year, I learned a lot. I knew there was still much weight to lose and more conditioning and weight lifting to be done though. With basketball still in my sight, I tried out for the ball team after the football season. I didn’t make the team though. Persistent though I became a manager and kept working on my game. Then later on they needed a body so I gotta play after the second game. Although I would easily get tired that really help me get into shape. Also training and playing basketball with a close friend of mine Keyion Robinson. After ball season was over I was hitting the gym and doing a lot of running and exercise. After losing 60-70 pounds probably from the year. It came time for summer football workouts. After some grueling practices and a good amount of two days I was named the team starter and helped in a good 2022-23 campaign where we went 7-4. Now I am currently working and back in the weight room trying to get offers and go D1.
