Personal Statement
-Hello. My name is Cody Segura and I attend Thomas Sumter Academy in Dalzell,SC. Thomas Sumter is a small private school of about 500 people, so when I talk about my aspirations to play football at the next level, people do not seem to think that it is very realistic, but I want to prove them wrong. I want to show everyone what I am capable of doing .I have a very strong desire to get better at everything that I do. I challenge my self frequently, and at all times I hold myself accountable.
-Though I would like to attend a larger college that is close to home, I am open to other college choices.
-Statistically I am the leading receiver on my team and I plan on working hard for the remainder of our season and in the playoffs.
- I am a speed and strength state champion in my weight class and I desire to win the title again this coming year as well.
-I hold a 3.5 GPA and everyday I strive to do the best that I can in the classroom and on the field as well.
- The motto of my high school is "Acta non Verba",which means "Actions, Not Words" I hold this motto dear to my heart because I have a mentality that is strictly about doing a lot,yet saying nothing at all...putting in the hard work, time, and dedication to getting better, and letting success make the noise.
-A list of some of my favorite colleges includes the following: Charleston Southern University,Clemson University, and the University of South Carolina.
