Zachary Schmidt '16 Recruiting Profile

Football is my passion and it has been for most of my life. Being better than the next guy only because it doesn't feel right being second place is my motivation to continue on. Not wanting to give up even if everything in the world is going wrong at the time. Fighting to the very last down of every game with my brothers on the field even if we're losing. But a huge positive I would bring to a team is my ability to teach, making someone better or leading them in the right direction is what I want to do for my team. No matter what year I'm in, if scout team needs players I'd jump to the opportunity not shy away from all the seniors and give it every bit I have. During my first couple years of high school I didn't take it seriously enough and felt the consequences. Although they took me off track I fixed my wrongs and now know my priorities. Now I'm the type of student-athlete that will make your football team better with chemistry, statistics and above all education.
