Personal Statement
I have been playing football since i was 6 years old. Football has always been a part of my life since I can remember. Throughout my years of playing football I have learned what I believe to be many important life traits. Some of these traits are: hard work, good listening, teamwork, and the ability to overcome obstacles. Since I have been playing, I have played many different positions on both sides of the ball. I believe this has helped me get a better understanding of the game. My largest supporters for the sport have been my mother and my stepfather. While my mom does not know much about the sport herself, she taught me to never give up by never letting me quit if something got tough when I was younger. If it was not for her, I would not be as hard working as I am today. Between school and sports both my parents have been there every step of the way.
Throughout high school my grades have for the most part been above most people. I was chosen at the end of the year to be a Junior Marshal, which is an award for being in the top twenty students in my class. My interest has always been in science, specifically in biology and chemistry. My goals for college is to go and further my knowledge in those two fields and hopefully receive a degree in either bio engineering or chemical engineering. I believe I have always excelled at competing whether it is in school or on the field, and I believe that is one of the most important traits to become a successful student-athlete at the college level.
