Like many young boys, I grew up playing football in the back yard and flag football on the weekends. Middle school gave me the experience of playing on both sides of the ball, and as I entered high school I found my passion for defense.
However, unlike many of my peers, my journey to playing football was not marked by early physical dominance. Instead, I experienced a late growth spurt, which required me to adapt my game and refine my skills to match my newfound stature. This transformation wasn't without its challenges as I moved positions this season from safety to outside linebacker, but it did instilled in me a deep sense of resilience and a relentless work ethic which continues to define my approach to football and life.
I have worked tirelessly this year to sharpen not only my physical abilities but also my mental fortitude—the ability to remain composed under pressure, to embrace adversity as an opportunity for growth, and to lead by example both on and off the field. Football has taught me the value of discipline, teamwork, and sacrifice—qualities that transcend the game and resonate in every aspect of my life.
