John Rojas '24 Recruiting Profile

I started playing football at the age of 5 where I fell in love with the sport. Since the beginning, the sport taught me values that have been ingrained into me. Perseverance has been one that always sticks with me. Knowing to never give up, to work for what you want, and to never let anyone tell you that you can't. I wasn't always the biggest or fastest, but when someone told me I could not start or succeed in the next age group, I made it a personal goal to prove that I can. I push myself every day to make sure I am the player and person that I want to be. I hope to reach my goals of furthering my career in football while making a difference in my community and obtaining my degree through higher education. 

My parents have been a big part of my football career, even though at times they may have struggled to meet the financial burden that extracurricular activities can bring. They have been there to make sure that I never gave up and to make sure I always fulfilled my commitment to myself and my team. They have always seen in me what others may not immediately have seen and I can credit them for encouraging me to be the best. Should I be blessed to achieve my ultimate dream of making it into the league, I hope to repay them back one day.
