I would like to play football in college while obtaining a degree in the engineering field. I have worked hard over my time in high school to become a better football player by always working as hard as I possibly could. As a freshman I was much smaller than my teammates but focused on just getting stronger and developing my mechanics as a quarterback. As I got older I started to grow which allowed my hard work to be noticed by my coaches and give me the opportunity to be the starting qb as a senior. I led my team to the quarter final round of the Tennessee class 5A playoffs this season.
Academically I have taken Honors, AP, or duel credit courses throughout my time in high school. This challenging academic load has given me the opportunity to balance my school work, sports, family, and friends that will be required even more so at the college level. I have maintained a 3.5 GPA and am currently a member of the National Honor Society. I also was selected by my teachers of my school to represent Henry Co. High this past summer at Boys State where I participated in various activities that taught us the need for discipline and knowledge in order to work for a bright future.
Football is a passion of mine that I would like to to experience at the college level. The one year of being a varsity starter was a great experience that has led me to believe I can do this at the next level. Competing in the second largest division in high school in Tennessee has allowed me to test my skills against great athletes who will also be moving on to further their careers.
