Personal Statement
Being from San Antonio, Texas football is a way of life. Friday night lights is a tradition and honor in the great state of Texas and I am proud to be part of it. My name is Julian Matthew Casas. I am varsity starter at Winston Churchill High School. My position is an offensive lineman and I stand at 6’3 and weigh 290.
I am writing you today to introduce myself as someone who has worked very hard on developing my athletic ability. I am honored to be part of such an elite football program at Winston Churchill High School, my commitment to my team is immeasurable, and the courage I show to be on the field no matter what the circumstances.
Throughout my football career I have shown dedication to the game and to get myself in the best shape possible and be leader on my team. I lead my team with knowing we can get the job done and we fight till the last second of the 4th quarter. We never stop fighting. This also carries on to my academics I am currently a junior and in the top 35 percent of my class with a grade point average of 3.7. The most important lesson I have learned is hard work does pay off. It will be hard but the end result will be amazing if you have given 100%.
Off the field my parents are my primary influence to help me become the best person I can be on and off the field. Their guidance has led me to love God, to love family, to love my country and to give back to my community. They have showed me what giving is about that one person can change another persons life if you can give your time to someone less fortunate. They have shown me to be grateful for the gifts I have. I have been fortunate to have a lot of support from not just my family but strangers who have become like family. My personal trainer is an inspiration to me as he teaches me not only to develop my physical skill but to showing me his dedication to become a physician inspire me. My coaches who have not only taught me football but mentored me to be a man. My grandfather who has taught me to be strong and to always commit and never give up. I am grateful for these people because without them I would not be who I am today.
And who I am today is a stellar athlete in the best shape of my life. I am inquiring about possibly being in your database and hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time.
Thank you for your time.
