Personal Statement
Alec Blonquist
I started playing tackle football when I was 8 years old. From the first time I put on the pads I have played every down with passion and love for the game. My passion for football comes from the opportunity to push myself to levels I never thought I could reach, the opportunity to work my tail off beside my brothers working towards a common goal, and the work ethic to carry over to my school work and life goals.
My family, my teachers, my coaches, and my teammates, have been the major influences in my life. I set my goals in the classroom, on the playing field, and in society the same way; To be the best, To be a leader, To set an example for those around me. During my younger years I had doubters and used that to motivate me, even more. I still wear two wristbands every day, as reminders: "Prove Them All Wrong" and " Philippians 4:13:
I made the honor roll every semester during my entire high school career, with my current GPA at 3.8 (on a 4.0 scale). I had the opportunity to be voted as team captain which was a great honor and I took the responsibility to lead my team with the same passion I use on the field.
My future goals are to play college football and to pursue a career in Physical Therapy / Sports Training. I will pursue my college degree with the same effort I accomplished in high school. I am always striving to better myself in the weight room, conditioning, or in the library. Being average or just getting by is not in my mentality, I want to do my best and be the best.
I take pride in what my past and current coaches say about me, "You will never out work or out hustle Alec"
