As a usual two to three-sport athlete, I have learned a lot about my strengths and weaknesses. Through my years 9 years of playing football, 4 years on and off with basketball, and my 3 years of track and field it has shown a lot about me and how I can improve and use the things I learn from those sports to use in life. These sports have also shown me how to use my experiences outside of sports with coaches teaching me life lessons to me using my own experiences to go through life and school. Football is a sport of brotherhood. This is a sport where you need to rely on each other to make plays it is hard to be successful when you want to play for yourself. In other words to explain it is like being a part of a very large puzzle. It takes time to put the pieces together but when they are together it is hard to break it. So with football and basketball, I have learned how to depend on others to help us succeed. Unlike those sports track and field is an "individual" sport whereas the others are team sports. The sport track is a sport to always push and beat yourself every meet you have. Even though it is considered an individual sport there is a team aspect also to make you push your teammates to their best potential. With me coming to my senior year these sports have shown me a lot and I am very blessed I have had the opportunity to do these sports and build a brotherhood with the people I have met. It is more than just a game it has been a part of my life and it is very valuable in all aspects of my life.
I have been challenged in my life but it has never made me want to fail only to get better. My grades are very important to me and I will always try my best to have good grades to be a true Student-Athlete. In college, I want to pursue college football but I want to further my understanding of Athletic Training. I believe the classes I have taken and will be taking will help the college load once I get there to be great for academics and athletics in the future.
