Javery Pullen '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a very talented basketball player with outstanding shooting ability, high IQ, great defense, athleticism, strong ball handling, and a good personality. My father served in the military and I have had to move around a lot during my school years. This gave me a diverse back ground as a person and basketball player. Because we moved so often, I had to work harder than any other player or person around me whether it is on the basketball court or off. I became interested in basketball as soon as I was able to hold one. Basketball has always been one of the biggest things in my life. Through basketball I have learned that I have a strong work ethic and leadership capabilities. My goal is to play a high level of basketball at a good school that also fits my family needs and I know the only way to do that is to work harder than anybody else in everything I do in my life.

           I have grown up with parents who played college basketball and they know what it will take for me to get to the college level. I shoot 200-500 shots every other day and do ball handling drills every single day. One obstacle I have had to overcome is that I have always been a smaller guard so I have to work harder than anybody else on the court to accomplish things I want. I have been lifting weights and working out to get stronger and faster. I am a great finisher at the rim and the free throw line and my mid-range game is A++.  I rise to the occasions in high pressure moment of a big game. I excel under pressure and made numerous game winning/tying shots. In those big moments I always want the ball in my hands. Basketball is my passion and always will be.
