Personal Statement
My name is Justin Jeangerard, I am a 6' 3", 190 pound Senior (2011). I am a versatile point guard that can play all five positions on the floor. As a Sr. in 2011 I averaged 20.5 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 8.4 apg and a Northern California leading 4.9 steals pg. The things that are important to me include God, family, sports, school, and friends. As a person I like to think of myself as trustworthy and caring for others. As a competitor I like to view myself as relentless and poised. Winning is always the number one concern and I will do anything to make it happen. My love for the game of basketball is one of my biggest assets. No matter what, I am always looking to improve my all around game and to become the best player I can. The ideal college that I am looking for is a school with a strong academic program, competitive basketball team, and a college with a plethora of school spirit. My desired major as of now is business or possibly journalism. Some of my basketball accomplishments include MVP of two tournaments as a sophomore, MVP of a tournament my junior year, League MVP, MVP of two tournaments as a senior and MVP of many tournaments throughout the course of my AAU career, and an all-league my sophomore year and my junior year. As a Junior I was named to the first team All Northern Section. As a player, I can offer a college basketball team leadership, consistency, hard-work ethic, and the ability to make my surrounding teammates better players by knowing and understanding their strengths and weaknesses. I feel that my game patterns my grandfather Robert Jeangerard's game, who was an unselfish player for the University of Colorado and a USA Olympic gold medalist in the 1956 Olympics. My athletic goals are to play at the highest competition I can, and to make an impact on a team.
