Jaden Hanspard '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jaden Jermaine Hanspard and I am a 5’ 11 point guard/shooting guard from Carson, California and will be a part of the graduate class of 2022. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and take both my education and athleticism seriously. I have received MVP for the 2019 basketball season and averaged 24 points a game. As a team player, I encourage my team by making sure I help teammates when they are feeling discouraged and leading by example by being punctual to practice and staying after practice to improve my craft. As a leader it’s important that I help and model a strong academic and athletic regimen. Coaches have often stated that I have a solid shot from the outside three-point line. They have also commented on my positive attitude and hard work. I take pride in being a good person. I believe that in order for me to maximize my full potential, I have to take pride in being a good student, achieving academic goals, and be a responsible and respectful young man.

My goal is to attend a University that strives to provide future leaders and encourages the individual to reach their maximum potential. I am looking for an institution that has the right balance between academics and sports program. I would like to attend a university that has a reputable academic program in Sports Medicine where I can contribute both on and off the court. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I can immediately contribute to the sports program. I believe my best fit would be to play at the highest competition level possible.  I have always had a vision of myself play basketball in college and helping that team win a national championship. Financial assistance is going to be an additional factor for me to consider when choosing the right institution as I come from a single parent household and will have high need. I am interested in attending an institution that represents integrity, leadership, unity, academics and sports.
