Personal Statement
I am the type of player that can adapt and do whatever my coach needs me to do. I can shoot, dribble, pass, play on ball defense, and I have a very high basketball IQ. I am very coachable and I have a solid work ethic. I work on my game both on and off the court. I do strength, speed and conditioning training on my own time with my two trainers. I am a student athlete and a varsity basketball player. I handle my business both in the classroom and on the court. I have had a 4.0 GPA since 6th grade and I have been able to maintain it in high school. A coach will never have to worry about me being ineligible to play in college. I believe that I am also a good leader and will lead the team in whatever way my coach or team needs me to. I’m not one of those selfish players who is only out to score. I will do whatever it takes to help my team win; whether that is scoring, passing, playing great defense, or even rebounding. What I lack in size, I make up for with IQ, hustle, shooting, and the ability to always find the open man. I am still young and growing. I will continue to get bigger and I will continue to work on getting stronger and faster. I like to think of myself as an asset on both sides of the court. I look to get my teammates involved as much as I can and I never play selfishly. One of the things I take the most pride in is being a good teammate because if someone is a bad teammate it affects the chemistry of the team which lowers the chances of the team winning.
