Luis Mendez '18 Recruiting Profile

Hey my name is Luis Mendez and I'm in the class of 2018. I am from Santa Barbara, California and love the game of basketball. Ever since I was five I have loved the sport and the older I got the more I played I grew a passion and bigger love to the game.  My position that Im strongest at is point guard or small forward because I had such an amazing coach he taught me how to master every position and I can do that now.  I play the game every day even if its just working on my handles or shot it doesnt matter I will have a ball in my hand or in the net.  This sport is like an addiction its like a drug to me and I won't  let it slip out of my hands.  I dont come from a very wealthy family so when I have a ball I treasure it and I will do work and continue to work to make my parents proud and make it into a university to play the sport that I love and not stop there and continue to work and work for success and follow my dreams.  I will work until I'm successful and then get up and keep working to be the best I can be.
