Ever since I was 10 years old, I found myself drawn to beach volleyball and the community surrounding it. What was a summer hobby soon became a passion. The beach has become my training ground and my home where I have met so many amazing people who have now become some of my closest friends. The sport has shaped not only my physical skill but also my character. There really is nothing like getting hit in the face by a ball or a mouthful of sand to humble me when I need it. Countless early mornings and late evenings have been spent on the court, training my skills. What sets me apart is my technical skill and my indomitable spirit that I have earned through years of dedication to the sport I love. I want to bring my passion and talent to the collegiate level to fulfill the dream I've had since 5th grade. I am someone who thrives on being challenged and the grind of working towards a bigger purpose to compete and prove myself to my partner, my coaches, my parents, and me.
In the classroom, my grades are very important to me and I have worked extremely hard to maintain a high GPA in rigorous high school courses. My work ethic goes beyond the physical aspects of the game, and portrays my commitment to continuous improvement. I aspire to compete at the college level, and can't wait to pursue my academics through college courses. Right now, I am very interested in going into physical therapy or nutrition, and majoring in kinesiology, biology, or exercise science.
