Arturo Loera '17 Recruiting Profile

 My goals as a student athlete is be able to compete at the highest collegiate level as I can while also having a great field of study to focus on as well. My goal as a person is to learn from myself, my teammates, and my coaches to be the best person and player I can be. The school I attend isn't known for having many students go on to play at the college, which gives me more motivation everyday to work hard in school and in the gym. I have an intense work ethic/mindset that will not let me give up on something until I have achieved my ultimate goal for it. I am a quick learner to what ever system coaches need and want, I can be a role player or a shooter on offense and a lock down defender on defense.  What I feel that makes so different from other recruits is the amount of time and heart I put into this game, because although I'm not a 6'6 210 shooting guard, I will work hard every day to get better and to overcome the skepticism, I will listen to my coaches and obey the rules and system they have given me, and I will treat my teammates like family because we are all one unit striving for the same goal. Overall, my goal is to make myself better as an athlete and a person, but also make the people around me better and always encourage them to strive for success.
