Connor John '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old.  I grew to love the sport and its fundamentals and really enjoy the competitive nature of the sport.  My mom started me in REC, and I helped my coaches win many games; when I was in 7th grade, we started with Travel basketball where I was really challenged as that was where I had to show my coaches that I can play the sport and I deserve to be part of the team.  I have enjoyed playing basketball and has continued to develop my game daily.  I have travelled all across Florida with my travelling team as well as out of state and I've made many great contributions to my teams allowing us to win many games.

Currently I am also being coached and developed at my high school, so I am on the JV team as well.  My dream is to play college basketball; academically I am a great student, and I am a very great team player; I care about my team, I have thick skin so to speak, I take the coaches feedback very well and I'm always looking to excel in my game.   My job on the team is a shooting guard, however I have assisted in many other positions and helped many of my team members in scoring.  My training on my Travel team and JV doesn't stop there, when I get home, I continue to practice so I can be effective in my game. In terms of my character both my coaches and teammates will say that I work hard, I push hard and we enjoy every win and loses as well and move on to make ourselves better.
