Nathaniel Carpenter '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nate Carpenter and I'm a 6'6 senior. This season I was a team captain and team MVP, and I was my team's leading scorer. I'm pursuing an opportunity to play college basketball next year. I'd like to find a team where I can stay at the same college for 4+ years and not bounce around like many athletes. Born and raised in Central Florida, I grew up in a loyal sports family where my brother and I have played baseball, basketball, and football since we were young. My Grandfather coached high school baseball for over 40+ years and my Dad played college and professional baseball. My love and pursuit of sports led me to transfer to Lakeland Christian School in Lakeland, FL after 10th grade. LCS allowed me to reach my goal of playing varsity sports at a competitive level while developing my skills. Our team is coached by Coach Wes Johnson.

Academics are important to me, I have an overall 3.2 GPA and I've taken honors and advanced classes since 8th grade. I want to go to college to pursue a career in Finance and I'd love the opportunity to compete as a college athlete. 

I'm involved in my community, where I volunteer and work. As of January 2023, I've logged 75+ hours of community service. I started working at Chick-fil-A when I was 14 years old.
