Personal Statement
I have great love for God, my family, and the game of basketball and my goal is to earn the opportunity to play at the college level.
I discovered basketball as an extremely shy 5th grader and my passion for the sport helped me to come out of my shell and find a way to express myself. Through basketball I have found the motivation and discipline to work endlessly on my constant pursuit for improvement, maintain good grades, and volunteer as a youth basketball instructor. I strive to be competitive while being a selfless and supportive contributor to my teammates.
This season as the only Senior on our Varsity team it was as challenging as it was rewarding. In the end, I was referenced to as "The lone senior" in our local press, after leading the team with a season high 26 points against Everglades HS. I earned top scorer of the season and was elected to participate in our county season end All Star BCAA. This outcome is a demonstration of relentless work ethic and the ability to overcome.
I intend to continue this focus and momentum as I go on to play 4 strong years of college basketball while pursing my degree in Business Sports Management and growing stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually.
