I’ve played basketball in America for three years and during those times it has taught me a lot. In my first year I played a few games in JV until I injured my leg, but I’m thankful to have gone through that because it made me remember why I moved across the world in the first place. Then when my school was shut down I moved to west oaks where I learned that hard work isn’t always rewarded but it’s the only thing I could count on and during these times I build confidence around my game. Being at west oaks also brought me to the realisation that no matter what I’m responsible for my own success. In my second year in Illinois I didn’t get played as much as I wanted to but from that I learned how to be a better team mate and when I did get on the floor I had build a strong sense of comradely with my team mates that we had each other’s backs, which made us all better players. My last year at impact Sarasota I started the year on the bench and worked my way up to a starter. This is where I played a lot of basketball and grew as a player, learning the game offensively and defensively. All in all I have a great work ethic, a good understanding of the game, a good team mate and confidence in my abilities.
