Karter Kester '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing and loving basketball since the first grade, which is why I am grateful I am predicted to be 6 feet 8 inches tall. Every year I work to improve my skills on and off the court. I am committed to working hard to reach my goals of playing competitive collegiate basketball as well as succeeding in a rigorous academic environment. Currently I am leaning towards schools in the midwest/Colorado and west coast regions. This summer I am attending camps, playing in local tournaments, and also starting to train with a personal trainer in preparation for varsity basketball at Molokai High School this fall/winter. My personal philosophy is driven by this quote from Bobby Knight, “The key is not the will to win. Everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important.”.
