Personal Statement

My name is Grant Roth, and I am currently a Senior in high school.

Basketball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. My passion for basketball is what motivates me to get up at 4:15 am for "early-bird" shooting practice and to dig the lights out of the garage so I can shoot late into the night. Although I love basketball, I firmly believe that finding balance makes me a better person--even a better basketball player. I feel that I have found the balance between basketball, school, church, family, and friends. I practice basketball for hours everyday, I take advanced classes and have a 3.9, I go to church every Sunday and participate in youth activities throughout the week, and I have an amazing family and friends who encourage me to become a better basketball player and a better person.

My team knows they can rely on my leadership and composure in intense game time scenarios. I am a consistent contributor and an outstanding shooter which goes well with my great court awareness.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
