I am Nickolas Zaire Black, a Senior at Thea Bowman Leadership Academy in Gary, IN. I have played organized basketball since the 3rd grade, and high school basketball since 2020, missing out on my Freshman year due to COVID-19. I started at shooting guard my Sophomore year and averaged 15ppg. As a Junior and due to roster changes, I maintained a solid 8 ppg, 4 rebounds, and about 2 blocks per game. Currently, as a Senior, I am a starting team captain averaging 16ppg and 14 rebounds. I'm ranked 3rd in the region in rebounds, and am top 40 overall in the region as of today. I plan to do even better before the season is over. In 2022.
As part of my college experience, I am determined to play basketball at the intercollegiate level. My goal for college is to obtain a solid education so that I can pursue a career possibly in Exercise Science or Technology, where I can learn to be a Trainer/Coach or a Video Game Developer.
My skills are solid, my attitude is humble, my heart is in my sport, and I’ve got the dedication to train hard to become an even better athlete. My cumulative GPA is currently 2.89 and I participate in community service organizations such as the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity.
If you have an opportunity to prove myself, I'll take it. If you have any interested in me as a prospective player, please contact me via my email address.
