Personal Statement
I just finished my second year of college looking to transfer to a four year program. My goals are to play and win at the highest level of competition in college, while I am getting an education. I understand that playing college basketball at the highest level while receiving an education is an opportunity, and I look forward to taking full advantages of my opportunities. I am very competitive and resilient. I am one of those players that does whatever it takes to win. Adversity only motivates me to work harder because the odds were stacked against me throughout my whole life, and I still stand to fight for my goals. I will support my teammates and try to help them succeed as well. Individual success is great, but it also excites me seeing my teammates be successful as well. I am very unselfish as a basketball player. What separates me from others is my resiliency and bringing a winning mentality to any team I play for. Not only having the winning mentality, I have the motivation to get better and be great. The winning mentality comes from competing against my teammates during my years playing Junior College. In 2018, we won the Regional XV championship and won the District XII championship. That same year we were ranked 16th in the nation, and we clinched a spot in the NJCAA national tournament. I feel I have so much to offer to a program with my prior experience, my skills, and my mentality. I look forward to transferring to a 4 year program, helping my team be successful and win at all cost.
