My name is Angelo Vega. I have been playing since 3 years old and competitive basketball since the age of 8 years old as a point guard. I can play both point guard and shooting guard. I take pride in being a leader and a well-rounded player that can get the job done on both ends of the court. Also, I do whatever the coaches ask me to do and whenever I am unsure of something, I always ask questions to find the correct answer. At a young age, it’s always been my goal to play basketball professionally and I have been working hard to reach this goal by going through training, camps and joining skills workouts. I played different sports like soccer and volleyball but basketball has always been my passion. I always look forward to the day when I have games and prepare myself physically, emotionally and mentally.
I am a student-athlete. I excel academically because I prioritize my academic responsibilities seriously. Ever since my freshman year, my GPA has been 4.0 even leading up to now. My parents instil in me the value of education and as such, I would like to be in an environment where I will grow as a student-athlete and still be able to grow as a well-rounded individual. I believe that being in the right environment will give me a great foundation to be successful in my future life.
