Personal Statement
I feel the highlight of my high school basketball career is yet to come. The most I have grown as a student athlete is this present junior year up to my summer leading into senior year where I have truly committed to bettering myself ever single day in the classroom and on the court. As a person this has made me mature and realize that work is the number one factor to success. I feel with the work I have put in, players and mentors I have surrounded myself with, and raw hours of training I have been doing and will continue to do will make me competitive at the college level.
My best experience has been through my AAU teams, where I have had numerous opportunities to play alongside division one prospects and against them. Playing at the highest level my age has to offer has given me mental and physical attributes I cannot get anywhere else. My school ball career has had ups and downs, my biggest down being taking my sophomore year off, where I was expected to start varsity. I decided to play my junior year and came back to start varsity every game. Since I have double or tripled my work ethic to daily practice to get where I want to be, I became the main scorer and leader on my AAU team and am expecting a very productive senior season.
