Personal Statement

I am a  tough two-way player that can get to the rim at ease and I have a smooth jump shot.  I am crafty with the ball and can make plays with and without the ball. I have a natural talent for making my team better, seeing the court and making the right pass at the right time.

My goal for basketball is to play at the highest level possible. I love to work hard and invest my time and effort into basketball because it is such an important part of my life and I have and continue to learn so many lessons from it.

My family and I have a saying that "it's bigger than basketball." What this means to me is that basketball has been a way for me to develop and grow in so many ways. I am and always have been a natural leader (even before basketball) and basketball has allowed me to translate these skills onto the court and  has given me the opportunity to strengthen my ability to lead under pressure and understand that every game is a chance to learn and build (win or loss).

Basketball has also taught me the importance of relationships, building trust and connection with my teammates, coaches and with the people that support me and my teams. I have been fortunate that I have a strong community of support that roots for and shows up for me and it is important to me that I represent for my community and make them proud.

Another important lesson I have learned from basketball is that there is always room for improvement and that it is important to keep striving. I am a strong student but I am always looking to learn new skills and information in the classroom and working to continue to increase my GPA.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
