RJ Veliz '19 Recruiting Profile

I love to compete!  I will compete in everything you bring to me.  Competition brings out the best in me.  I am an athletic, tough, smart point guard who will help elevate the teams performance.  I am a rim attacking PG who is also a deadly 3pt shooter.  I am not afraid of contact and am probably setting up a teammate, while in the lane.  

I have competed at the highest levels of club/traveling basketball, (Adidas Gauntlet-team Fast).  I have also been invited to participated in some of the most prestigious basketball camps in america, (CP3, Ball is LIfe, West Coast Elite, Ryan Silver Camp, Max Hoops, Pangos Showcase), and have made the elite top 20 game in those camps. 

I am a high school starting varsity athlete in the 3 sports I play, (basketball, football, baseball).  I am the stating PG for basketball, starting QB football and starting 3B baseball.  I was all conference in all three sports and was Conference player of the Year in basketball this year, and 1st team all state.  

I am a 4.0 student at an academic College Prep School.  My parents are both teachers who have always instilled the value of my education, along with my drive and discipline in athletics.  I am involved in many areas of volunteer organizations, and in fact created a club in my school that focuses on helping those in need.  

I will bring the attitude of winning to your program.  I will do what it takes to help the program be as successful as it possibly can.  An opportunity to show you what I can do, is all I need and I hope that you are the coach that will be the one that can give me that opportunity.  I will be able to demonstrate my basketball skills, high IQ for the game and my overall positive, hardworking attitude.
