I’m Aaron Knauss, a rising junior at Northumberland Christian School, PA. I’m a great jump shooter with good court vision and finishing skills. Because of my confidence on the floor, I was looked to as the team leader my sophomore season, even though I was the youngest starter. I intentionally worked on being a vocal leader and scoring in tight situations. Some of my proudest moments occurred when I scored over 80 cumulative points in the 3 league tournament games, which earned me tournament MVP in addition to my All-Star award. Our team had a season where we experienced a few tough losses early on but chose to work harder, on and off the court, to improve. Through this, I’ve learned the value of being close to teammates and having a team family.
Because I attend a small Christian school, I understand I need to work harder to play for a good college program. By the end of my junior year, I plan on weighing 190 with a 4.0 GPA and increase my SAT from a 1240 to over 1300. I’m currently drilling, lifting, and doing plyometrics weekly to improve my ball-handling skills, my all-around strength, and my vertical.
I’m coached by Jeremiah Bennett who played basketball for Bucknell University from 2000-2003. My AAU team, Next Level Strong, is run by former D1 player and former Bucknell coach Kathy Fedorjaka, who is the winningest women’s coach in Bucknell history and led the team to Patriot League championships in 2002 and 2008.
