It has always been my dream to play basketball at the collegiate level. As a student-athlete, I am excited about the opportunity to grow both athletically and academically. My passion for basketball and my drive to succeed has allowed me to become the player I am today and will continue to allow me to develop in college. As a student of the game, I am coachable; I proudly accept criticism and actively seek advice because I want to be the best player I can be. I have been described as a selfless teammate because I put the need of the team before myself. I am a leader in the sense that I take pride in the success of my teammates. Because I have been playing basketball since before kindergarten, I have learned how important it is to balance my school work and my athletic training. I prioritize my academic work because I know how fortunate I am to receive an education, and I want to take advantage of this opportunity. As an individual, I am dedicated to achieving success at the highest level. I am the athlete that will be the first one in the gym and the last one out. I am determined to go above and beyond to prove my determination and ambition not only to my coaches and teammates but to myself and to those who look to me for inspiration.
