Personal Statement
I would like to inform coaches that I am more than just a multi sport athlete. I am a student and look to be a pillar in the community as well as furthering my education and becoming a productive citizen. What makes me a good candidate for their team is my leadership skills because I hold myself and others accountable for our responsibilities. I consider myself to have great work ethic. I train hard and stay focused to be the best that I could be in order to be ready for the challenges that face me. What makes me different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics is that I choose not to let anyone out work me. While others might see barriers as a sign of hardship, I view them as challenges to strongly overcome. I come from a household of athletes. My mother played volleyball and basketball; my father played football, basketball and ran track during their middle school and high school years. My father also played football in college. My sister who's currently a junior in high school also played volleyball, basketball, and tennis in middle school and went straight basketball in high school. As a result, I have grown to love the life of sports which is why I play football, basketball, run track and have motivated me to do well in my academics.
