2023 Highlights Personal Statement
What is my favorite basketball team? In 7th grade, I had a nasty accident which broke both arms. The ER doctors had to put me under to reset my bones. They provided anesthesia and began counting down until I fell asleep. The surgeon began testing my consciousness with questions. "Who is your favorite basketball team"? I responded, "The Ravens". That surgeon probably giggles thinking I didn't understand the question, but the fact is she didn't understand the answer... The next season, The Waterford Raven's 8th grade boys basketball team went UNDEFEATED. My answer holds true.
