My aspirations in life are to play collegiate basketball at a very high, intense, and fundamentally sound level to eventually move on to pro or overseas. I believe to do this, an athlete has to be able to focus and hold on to the small details in anything you work on or learn. Next, you must have toughness, persistence to wake up in the morning and go work by yourself or lift, then to push through the tiredness and pain in practice to separate yourself from the competition . Last is to always want to learn and grow, the ability to accept change and understand that you might find different roles as you go through the duration of your college and potentially pro career. I posses these traits and exercise them between all 3 sports I play. I am a varsity starter on both side of the ball for football, a varsity power forward for basketball, and placed 6th in state for the 110 meter hurdles in track my sophomore year. I believe being a 3 sport athlete not only separates myself from most but makes me a more well rounded individual, each sport challenges my mental and physical abilities. I also play the trumpet which I started playing in 6th grade and have continued to excel at through high school career.
