Dylan Kohner '23 Recruiting Profile

 My name is Dylan Kohner, class of 2023, Liberty HS, Arizona. I consider myself, as my Dad would say, "an athlete who plays golf". As a "kid" i grew up playing club basketball, soccer and football. I didn't pick up golf until the age of 11 and have never stopped playing since. Although I played basketball and football throughout, I never loved them as much as I love golf. Coming from a family where my Dad is a high school football coach I've been taught the skills needed on and off the field, classroom, court or course that will help me excel in any area of life. I would be a great addition to your team for many reasons and I'll also use the leadership skills and toughness learned from playing the other sports to bring not only a better player/student to your program but leader and teammate as well. Wether it's in the classroom, on the course or playing checkers Ive always had a desire to compete and WIN.  Ever since a young age I have been known to never back down from a challenge. I'll always give 110% in everything I do. I love to practice and enjoy the grind/ process it takes to be the best. I've had the opportunity to be around and play with some of the best high school and college players in the country and understand what it takes to get to play not only college golf and football but the drive and dedication this and every sport takes to reach that pinnacle. 

For the past 2 years I have been playing as much golf as possible. During winter I will practice 5-6 hours a day and during the summer 4 hours including the weight room which has been part of our family routine regardless of sport.  As a freshman i climbed up the team rankings and made State as a freshman. Over the last few months i have ascended to the #1 golfer on the team as a Sophomore and look forward to leading this team through the coming season and State. My game is vastly improving by the day and I am excited to see where it will be by Winter 2022.
