Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Christian Agullana, and I am interested in playing golf at the collegiate level. I was born in Hawaii and have been surrounded by golf almost all my life. Since the age of six, I remember swinging the golf club and till now I am still playing golf. I attended junior golf programs like the First Tee and gained experience from playing in local junior tournaments. I have also lived in Japan for several years and scored my personal best tournament score of 77 at Camp Zama Golf Course, Japan. Now, I plan to make my mark in high school and I am working hard to bring my scores down to the 70’s. At the start of my collegiate year I plan to shoot in the 60’s.
I am a good academic student in classes. I always get my work done on time and listen to my teachers. In college, I plan to take Physical therapy and get my graduate degree. Science is my strong point and is one of my more favorite classes. I currently have a 3.5 accumulative GPA and will be looking to enter colleges with high SAT scores, which I will take in October. I will work hard my senior year so that I will excel in college.
Lastly I am a deeply religious Christian and I firmly believe in God and have Christian values – like working hard and earning an honest living. I am also a member of JROTC and have been in the program all my years in high school. I like science and health and play basketball as a hobby. I know how to speak, write, and read Japanese. I think I would be a good asset in college and bring cultural diversity to a golf team.
