I started swinging a golf club and hitting balls at the range when I was three. A few years later I began playing in golf tournaments and enjoyed the competition. Prior to entering high school I played travel soccer and also basketball at the travel, AAU and junior high school levels, but when I became a freshman I committed 100% to golf. I am told by others that I am a good leader. I have really loved being part of a golf team. I have been in situations where I was able to win key matches for the team and hope to experience more of that in the coming year. My best tournaments this summer were.
MAJGT quad cities IA par 72 6850yds (76,71) came in tied for 1st
AJGA Qualifier Bloomingdale Il par 72 6850yds (72) t-3rd qualified for actual Midwest Junior Players
MAJGT Flossmoor IL par 71 6450yds (75,73) t9 out of many players
This past year my team was one of 12 teams to compete in the Illinois State Tournament. It was the first time in 9 years we got to state. I also know that academics come first and I am in an honors curriculum and have a very good GPA. My golf goals are to compete and succeed in area and national tournaments. I also hope to help lead my high school team back to the state finals over the next year and then play college golf at a quality academic institution. I work hard at school and at golf and know it will take hard work to fulfill my goals.
