September 2017 Personal Statement
Dear Coach,
My name is Josh Zoldan. I am a golfer at Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Illinois. My graduation year is 2018. I am a late bloomer only in my fourth full season of golf now after playing basketball and soccer most of my life. Now golf is my only sport and my passion and I want to achieve a very high level of golf. Im interested in a University that has a good business school so I can prepare myself for my future after golf.
A few of my highlights: In my last summer tournament, I finished 4th out of 90 kids in the Mid-America Junior Golf Tour Championship at Geneva National in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin as I shot rounds of 72, 71 and 75. Also, I shot rounds of 75,73 in the final major of the summer for the Illinois Junior Golf Tour.
So far in Varsity this season I have led my team to a divisional win by shooting 70 in our annual conference showcase event. Also, I shot 73 at an invite with every high school in our county as I finished second out of 96 players. I also shot 2 under and led my team to a win in a conference event.
Most recently, I have led my team to State 10/13-14, Regional and Conference titles, and one shot from taking the individual title as well at Conference.

- I only played in one AJGA this summer. I shot 78.
- 2017 2017 Illinois Junior Golf Association Tour Events (16-18 Division)
- I played in a qualifier in which I shot 74. That tournament that I qualified for I shot 75-73.
- 2017 2017 MAJGT Tour Events (16-18)
- In my only MAJGT event this summer I shot rounds of 72,71,75 to come in 4th place out of 90 kids. I was in the final group the 3rd day after being tied for the lead after day 2 at 1 under par.
