This past summer I competed in many competitive tournaments. I played with the best golfers in New England. I competed against men who have been golfing longer than I have been alive. There were great rounds and rounds where I grinded. I struggled with my short game at the start of the summer with all of the rain. Mentally, I felt defeated, but then went back to the basics and met with my coach for some instruction. I learned how to overcome bad holes, and to come back stronger on day 2. When I look at my ranking of 3027 nationally, I feel like that number could be better, but it doesn't tell the story of how I have grown as a golfer. That number also has made me see that I can play better, and do better when I practice. That number also tells you how mentally tough the game of golf is for even good players. And I am a good player who will help a college golf team compete for championships. I have a lot to learn still, and a lot more to achieve as a golfer.
