When I was 3 years old my dad had me start watching the PGA tour on tv with him. Jordan Spieth is my role model and I have always looked up to him. I aspire to be like him; he is hardworking, has a strong moral character and is an overall good person. I remember being 5 and going to the Deutsche/Dell PGA event in Norton,MA wearing a Spieth for President shirt. I always waited in line in the kids zone for autographs from my favorite players and I remember how gracious, professional and stand up guys all of these players were. I have so many pictures with young PGA players who took time out of their day to make memories for kids. I aspire to be that type of person with that character. More than anything I LOVE golf with a passion. I remember putting and chipping in my driveway with my grandmother and I always think- if you can put on an uneven driveway- you can putt on any green! Mostly, I just have an undying passion for this sport. It wasn’t the fact that it became a popular sport during COVID- I just can’t remember never wanting to play golf. I find every moment to play- even if it’s another 18 holes after a tournament. I will go try to correct what wasn't working for me on the range after a tournament. My family just put a simulator in my family room- when you live in NH you have a short season. I’m content hitting balls on a Saturday night after work because that’s what I love to do. I feel as though I am a level headed person and I don’t get rattled. I am bummed out if I don’t have a great score, but I’m quick to mentally return to the game and reset. My family calls me “sporty”, I just love this game. My dream is to play golf and to also somehow always be connected to this sport in my life. I love to write, have strong math skills and also love to analyze data. I think it would be so cool to major in business/sports analytics and stay connected to this sport for the rest of my life. Golf has its ups and downs and I have been there. I think that the mental capacity and ability to return from a loss is what makes a successful golfer. I am a steady player who looks to better himself on a daily basis both in my love of this game and my life in general. I am a hard worker with a great work ethic with a strong understanding of balance. I hope to take this all with me as I move forward on with this next stage of my life.
