Personal Statement

In my freshman year of high school I had high expectations for myself as the number two golfer on the team. I wanted to make it to the OHSAA State golf championship. I didn't make it to state but one of my teammates did. I told myself this is where I want to be golfing this time next year. I achieved that goal my sophomore year. After my freshman year knowing  I was going to be the number one golfer on my team,  I felt like I did the most growing as a person on and off the course. My maturity, hard work and dedication year around as well as  successes  in junior tournaments helped me have a even bigger drive and determination to get better everyday and aspire to play golf at an elite college level.

Throughout my two seasons of high school golf, I have been blessed to play with teammates that always push and challenge each other to be better.  Even though I have only golfed for 5 years, I have had the opportunity to learn the values of teamwork, determination, a hard work ethic, and leadership. I believe that I have what it takes to compete at the college level with my skills and determination. I am a person that likes to push myself to the next level and work hard to achieve it, athletically and academically. I hope to find a college that will fit my athletic and academic desires. I know I have the ability to make an impact, not only on the golf course, but  in the classroom as well.
