Personal Statement

My goal is to play college golf, playing for a school anywhere would be an honor. I believe I am a good candidate because I'm dedicated to golf, practice hard and am hungry to do well for my team and my school. Character wise, I think I can stand out with the fact that I've been through unique challenges in life and I can battle any kind of adversity. I am different from other recruits because I am a good leader. I was #1 on Varsity at my high school as a freshman and was forced to be a leader a little bit, I will have 4 straight years of leadership expierence on the golf team. Some other things that could be valuable to a golf team is my high level of golf knowledge. Every weekend I tune into the PGA Tour to see what kinds of shots and problems the pros deal with. I can learn many things from them and even the announcers calling the golf. Also, I have played on all kinds of golf courses, due to the fact that one of my golf courses is a links style with water and heather on every hole, and the other is a narrow, tree-lined course. In the classroom, I am a good listener, very analytical, and possess the ability to take over in a group project, which can all be important on the course. I have increased my GPA every single year of high school too and hold a very solid ACT with 26. These would be the best reasons of why I should be considered to represent a school on the golf course and off.
