Hello, my name is Justin Yu. My goal is to continue and increase my education while doing something I love. Hockey has been with me for nearly 10 years and it would be great to continue it throughout college. I would be a good candidate for your hockey team because I am a very versatile player. I can play defensemen or winger according to what the team needs the most. I am also very open to new ideas and options, and I wouldn’t mind getting out of my comfort zone and trying a different position like center. I differ from other recruits because I never want to miss a practice or morning skate. Waking up at 5:00 AM doesn’t stop me from going to the ice to put in more work. In addition, I practice regularly outside of the ice rink to further enhance my skills. I also played roller hockey games in the off-season to stay fit and to get more ice-time. Additionally, I joined Johns Creek high school ice hockey team in 8th grade so I could play with more experienced and older kids. I also differ because of my academics. My academics are good, and I am an honor student. I put in a lot of work to keep my grades good. I attend a 2-hour tutor session every week to make sure I am not falling behind in my classes. I love the game of hockey and I would love to play for your team.
