From an early age, hockey has been a very large part of my life. It has been my dream to perform at the college level and be the best player I can be. By working hard every time I step on the ice for a session or go into the gym for a workout, I believe that I can improve my game enough to be able to play at a high performance, high intensity level. When it comes to competition I always strive to be better than the person ahead of me, whether it's within my team or my league, I always want to be the best on the ice.
Although I love hockey, academics are also important in my mind. If I ever fall behind, school comes first. Many of the lessons and ideas that I have learned through the sport of hockey have helped me succeed in the classroom, and I find that athletics and academics play a large role of shaping who I am as a person. Because of this I strive to do my best in sports and in school, as I know that my efforts will be highly rewarding. My drive and competitiveness have helped shape my attitude toward the sport, and I hope to continue improving so that I have the opportunity to play it at the highest level possible.
