Personal Statement
I began playing hockey at age four. My parents took me to rink rats, and I never looked back! Hockey has become a passion. I feel like I have a unique ability to understand where everyone is on the ice, and I like to set others up to score.
Through hockey I have learned that winning is HARD (I once played on team that didn’t win a game all season), but the hard work is worth it in the end. In 2017, I broke both bones in my leg playing hockey. It took a lot of hard work to get back on the ice, but the hard rehab was worth it.
Ultimately, I would like to do well in school and in hockey so that I can keep playing after I graduate high school. My future academic goals are to find a career that will keep me around sports.
