Personal Statement
I reclassified as a 2019 at The Governor's Academy in Byfield, Ma. My initial goal was to make the varsity lacrosse team as a freshman. I dedicated myself to achieving that goal by training off field as well as playing as much fall ball and winter lax as possible. When it was time for tryouts I was well prepared and my hard work paid off. Unfortunately, a week later I found myself on crutches with a season ending injury. Since that day I've dedicated myself to being the best goalie that I can be. It has been challenging but I can say that I have a stronger appreciation for the the game and how lucky I am to be part of a team. This experience also made me a stronger person as well as a player. I understand that things don't always go your way and if you want something it's up to you to make it happen. My short term lacrosse goal is to help my team win the ISL championship. I believe that dedication to hard work and believing in yourself are the keys to success. This is why I believe I have what it takes to bring my game to the next level.
