I'm a team-first player and think I would be a great addition to any squad looking for an athlete who is determined, hard-working and coachable. My motor is always on 100%, but I know I still have a lot to learn about life and lacrosse.
I believe in hard work and want a team environment where I can listen, contribute, and make a difference in any way. I was captain of my JV lacrosse team and moved up to Varsity at the end of my Freshman season. My teammates counted on me to set the tone, lift others up, and lead by example. Since I started lacrosse a little later than most (I have been playing for the last 6 years), I've always had to work harder and practice harder than those around me. I know firsthand that hard work pays off.
I am on a travel lacrosse team called the Rochester Flyers, the oldest travel lacrosse team in Rochester, NY. This team is like family to me, and that is what I'm hoping to find in the next chapter of my lacrosse career. A place that feels like home and teammates that become family.
I have also been wrestling for the past 3 years. Through Wrestling I have learned a lot about toughness, dedication, intense training, and the importance of your psychological mindset. However, it has taught me the most about how to overcome obstacles and the importance of never giving up. Characteristics that I carry over to the lacrosse field and the face-off X.
Academically, I excel in math and business and am looking to find a career where I can foster these skills. I want to study business and entrepreneurship. I enjoy the hustle of business and the self-sufficiency required to be a good entrepreneur. I love the excitement of bringing new ideas to market and would love to run my own company someday.
I currently work in the pro shop of the Irondequoit Country Club, a job I truly love. I love greeting the members each day and learning about who they are and what they have done in life. The job has taught me so much about how to build relationships with people and I take pride in each and every job that comes my way. From maintaining the range, to cleaning clubs and giving course advice, each day brings a new challenge and I love that adventure.
In my spare time, I volunteer with a few local organizations (The Green Angels, Rochester Area Community Foundation, Sleep In Heavenly Peace). I believe giving back to the community and helping others are equally as important as academics and lacrosse. I am also a referee for the local youth lacrosse league. I look forward to my college search and I am excited about my future!
